Changelog

Whenever there is a new functionality for Skipper being added or revised, it is recorded in the Changelog. Sometimes it is hard to describe in a simple summary what skipper can do. Hopefully through these snippets, Skipper capabilities can be explained with more detail.

Added camera focus viewer tool

A tool was created to preview both camera outputs for view and focus adjustment.

Centralized camera capture profiles

Day and Low light profiles are now automatically switched during different lighting conditions.

Added Visual RAG prompt presentation

Skipper can now recognize objects and generate a session based on the requested match. (e.g. Skipper.. What is this?)

Added global system maintenance scheduling

Skipper now maintains himself and runs periodic checks when needed.

Voice commands can now be configured through the Web UI.

Added STT voice FX playground

You can now manipulate Skipper voice for a custom outcome.

Added system storage snapshot tool

You can now track memory state during long runs to diagnose memory usage comparisons.

Added camera visibility health checks

Cameras can now self check for obstructions and faulty behaviour.

Added quiet presence proactive comment

Skipper will now note if things get quiet and try to initiate a conversation.

Added proactive commentator functionality

Skipper can now initiate a discussion based on various parameters.

Created dual camera mapping and preserved HD vision capture setup

Bad drivers for dual camera capture were fixed and optimized as well as connected properly to the HD camera.

Improve TTS text normalization

Incoming voice text is normalized and improved after capture.
